Dear Shawn,

November is almost over...time is really flying - I hope things are going well with you as this year starts winding down.

My goal is to help business owners build their business and be more successful.  In short, help them find their competitive edge.  This newsletter hopefully has articles and resources that are interesting and helpful to anyone trying to move up to the next level.

If you know of anyone that might be interested in that sort of thing or just like a juicy newsletter ;-), please forward this to them.

Now what can I do to help you out?  Seriously, Let me know.

Have a great day!

Are you trading time for money?
Do you know how to get out of this predicament?
    Trading time for money?
I've talked to quite a few people lately that have recognized that they are the constraint for their business.
In order to make more money they personally need to work more hours.

How do you get out of the rat race mentality?

Are you stressed out?
Stressed? Is your stress working for you or against you?

This is probably a rhetorical question for a small business owner.  You've got a million things to do and never enough time to do them.

Stress can be debilitating, but it can also push you into doing things you're not comfortable with and keep you on top of your game.  The question is, can you successfully manage that stress?

Recommended Resource
 Getting Things Done!Getting Things Done

Getting Things done is a great book from David Allen that has created almost a cult like following on the Internet - there are dozens of sites, tools and forums devoted to helping you implement and automate a lot of the ideas of Getting Things Done.

The subtitle is "The Art of Stress-Free Productivity", and I think that approach is a big reason for the popularity.  The idea that you can manage your stress directly rather than just the symptoms is extremely compelling to many.  Even if  you only find a few ideas to implement here, it will be worth the time and effort - highly recommended!

Pandora - Discover Music Pandora - Discover Music

Pandora is billed as the 'Music Genome Project'.  It's an internet radio station that plays music like what you select - here's a description:
" we set out to capture the essence of music at the most fundamental level. We ended up assembling literally hundreds of musical attributes or "genes" into a very large Music Genome. Taken together these genes capture the unique and magical musical identity of a song - everything from melody, harmony and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics, and of course the rich world of singing and vocal harmony. It's not about what a band looks like, or what genre they supposedly belong to, or about who buys their records - it's about what each individual song sounds like."
So if you like the latest Amy Winehouse song, you can enter that as your starting point and Pandora will find songs and artists that are musically similar - it's a great way to find new bands!
